PRODUCTS AND SERVICES


 

The Company operates in various business segments through Strategic Business Units [SBUs] and Joint Venture Companies [JVCs]. It is the market leader in Steel Barrel, Industrial Greases & Specialty Lubricants, Travel and Logistics Services. It also has significant presence in most of the other businesses it operates, namely, Leather Chemicals, Logistics Infrastructure, Refinery & Oil Field Services [ROFS] etc.


 

OPENING


 

The Company seeks to strengthen its Human Resource function through induction of experienced professional talent. The position is in the Regional HR Department at Kolkata, which operates as the nodal Agency for managing the life cycle of all employees and managing the employee relations in all Units/Establishments in the Eastern Region besides providing strategic & tactical HR support to identified SBUs.


 

JOB PROFILE


 

The incumbent will be responsible for assisting the Head of Regional HR Department in Eastern

Region, based at Kolkata. The major roles would be to:


 

1.    Advise line managers on HR & IR matters at strategic/tactical level.

2.    Plan and administer employee welfare activities in the region.

3.    Handle issues related to discipline, general administration etc of the respective units/offices.

4.    Ensure compliance with applicable rules, labour laws and directives of the Government.

5. Generate insights and provide necessary support to the regional HR Head for improvement of processes and practices related to the function.

6. Administration of service terms and conditions including compensation.

7. Industrial and employee relations matter in the Eastern Region.

8. Implementation of various HR initiatives in the Company.

9.    Plan & implement multitude of HR/ OD initiatives in the Department at Regional/ SBU level.


 

PERSON PROFILE


 

[a]    Age

Around 35 years as on the date of notification. This may be relaxed in case of candidates with longer years of experience. Relaxation as per Government of India directives applies to SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates.

 

[b]    Qualification

The applicant must be a Graduate, with Post Graduate qualification in HR / PM&IR from an institution of repute.


 

[c]    Experience


 

The incumbent should have minimum 10/12 years of working experience in the relevant discipline, with around 4 yrs in independently handling similar activities. The incumbent must possess excellent communication and networking skills.


 


 

COMPENSATION


 

Selected candidate will be placed in the Pay Scale of Rs. 32900-58000 / 29100-54500, depending upon the position for which selected. Other allowances and perquisites will be as per Company Rules. The annual CTC would be in the range of Rs. 11.17 to 18.68 / 9.94 to 17.54 Lakhs. The basic salary will be decided, depending on qualification/experience of the selected candidate.


 

RESERVATION


 

The Government of India directives with regard to reservations of SC / ST / OBC / Physically Handicapped shall apply. Candidates belonging to these categories should specifically mention the same in their applications. Maximum age prescribed is subject to relaxation in case of SC / ST / OBC and Physically Handicapped candidates as per Government of India Directives. Candidates belonging to OBC category seeking the benefit of reservation should produce certificate from Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar, certifying that they do not belong to the creamy layer.


 

OTHER INFORMATION


 

[a]    Depending on qualification and experience, selected candidates will be fitted in the appropriate scale of pay, as per rules of the Company.

[b]    Outstation candidates called for interview will be reimbursed travel expenses as per the rules of the Company.

[c]    The Company may relax age in the case of exceptionally qualified / experienced candidates. [d]    In the event of non-availability of candidates with suitable qualification and experience, the

Company reserves the right to operate the position in the appropriate lower grade.

[e]    The locations mentioned are only indicative, selected candidates may be required to work in any location in India or outside the Country including assignments to the Company's Joint Ventures / associates.
